Putting Breast Cancer Behind Me...

I got my port out yesterday!! My last mamo looked good, my blood work is good, and I am through with all my treatments except for having to take tamoxfin for the next 5 years. The last thing I had to do was get the port removed and we did that yesterday. Now, if I can just make it through the next five years. My cancer was stage 2 and had spread to the lymph nodes so It could rear it's ugly little head somewhere else. However, I'm not going to worry about it. I have better things to do so, as of today, I am putting it behind me and moving forward.

I need more storage at my house so I bought this today at Lowes so I can store blankets in the summer and beach towels and summer stuff in the winter. It will go beside my bed so the grands won't be tempted to climb on it.

Now, if I can just find a table skit that will fit. I looked everywhere today and couldn't find anything I thought would work. The one I have on it is just way to short. I might have to make one.

Expo 2009

We had a great day out at the Expo today. It started off cool but quickly warmed up and it turned out to be a beautiful day! The kids loved the tractors and as you can tell, Mr. Landon was one happy little boy while he was climbing around in that Big ol'e John Deere tractor.

Their favorite animal at the Expo was the alpacas. They are so CUTE! As you can see the kids just loved watching them.

If I had a farm I think I would just have to have a few of these wondering around. :-)

This is a picture of my two little readers Landon Aubrey and Riley Grace. They can't REALLY read but they get read to a lot. They both love books and they love to pretend that they are reading.

Landon has been fighting sleep here lately so my cure for that has been to get his favorite blanket and take him out to the porch swing and swing away with the cricket chirping. I leave the lights off and and we just listen to the night time sounds and before you know it he's sound asleep. :-)

As for my test results, unofficially everything was fine but the Dr. hasn't signed off on them yet so I'll call them in the morning to see what he has to say.

Miss Riley Grace had a birthday. She's two now. She's a hoot and boy does she have a mind of her own. :-) We got her outfit on sale at Cracker Barrel for $8.00.

I didn't find out anything about my test today. I'll have to call them again tomorrow. So, for now...I'm not worried about it. I have enough people doing that for me. :-) Ya'll need to chill out until we know what we are dealing with. It may JUST be a dense spot and NOTHING else. Stuff like that DOES happen.

Yet again, I have kicked my blogging to the curve.
What can I say other than life just gets busy. :-)
Today I had to get more testing done...when I got the letter in the mail about having to go back for further evaluation I didn't think much about it because I ASSUMED there was scar tissue in my left breast that would be an issue. When I went in today they wanted a closer look at the right side which freaked me out just a little bit. As soon as I left the hospital I went STRAIGHT to my surgeons office. I wanted to know what was going on and I wanted to know now! This is what I know now. I have a dense spot on the right side that they wanted to take a closer look at and I am to call them Thursday to find out the results from today. In the mean time this is one of the little darlings that brightens my days. This little fella knows how to play hard. Mark was playing around with my camara and took this one of Landon.

It's been awhile since I posted

anything but...I have recently found out that I have breast cancer. I have already had the surgury and I'm on my second round of chemoI have four left to go. Most of my hair is gone and I have been wearing a hat. I like them. :-) I just learned how to do touch of color the easy way. I'm loving it. Here is a new one of Baylee.
