I bought two of these at Ross' for $12.00 each. I didn't like the oringinal color which was the brown and green but I do know how to use a can of spray paint. :-) I love them in black.

Getting ready for Christmas

As you can see, there are no presents under the tree.  We have a grandson who has been living with us since he was born over two year ago. He is one hard headed little fella and I'm just not going to fight the 'leave the presents alone' battle with him. :-) Besides, he might win.

Glass collection, COLBALT BLUE tumblers and GREEN ball jars.

I have always loved colored glass. I got rid of all my cheap plastic glasses about 10 years ago and now I'm looking for these lovely colbalt blue tumblers. I have a set of 6 juice glasses that my father-in-law found at a garage sale. I also have a set of 6 tumblers that I found at an antique store a few weeks ago. But now I'm looking for the middle size that goes with the set. We went antiqueing yesterday and I found them in EVERY color but COLBALT BLUE! If you ever get to Byron Georgia stop at The Peach. But make sure you have a WHOLE day to spend there. Yes, It's THAT big.

When we moved here, I was going to do some decorating but got sidetracked with breast cancer. Now that things are getting back to normal I have decided to do some decorationg. I'm not a 'fad' decorator I like the country look. I like antiques and old furniture. I blame it on my parents. :-) They drug me to yard sales and garage sales and auctions, we went to thrift stores and the Goodwill often. I can even remember getting my own number at the auction and being allowed to bid on stuff when I was younger. It was fun, like a contest. I have a shelf in my kitchen and I though the different colored ball jars would really look good up there so I have started collecting ball jars. I need some green ones though. I have one green and it's so pale you can't even tell it's green.  But this is what it looks like....

So if you run across some colbalt blue tumblers or green ball jars let me know.

I found this mirrir out in the barn. I don't know where it came from or why it was in there. I just couldn't throw it away. So....I painted it, glazed it with some brown glaze then painted the mirror with chalkboard paint.
